A more efficient solution for Prince of Wales Hospital that meets Australian Lighting Standards

The Challenge

An ageing lighting system surrounding the Prince of Wales Hospital operating theatres was creating a high volume of maintenance requests. As operating theatres are critical pieces of infrastructure, a solution was required that reduced power consumption and minimised the need for future maintenance. Any solution was required to meet Australian Lighting Standards for hospital environments.

The Solution

Green Connection Group was selected to design and implement a high quality, innovative solution. The client understood that by appointing a team that effectively communicates with a wide range of stakeholders any disruption to hospital operations would be minimised.

Green Connection Group worked closely with the engineering department to develop a solution that would meet the required Australian Standards, particularly those that related to medical application requiring a Cyanosis Observation Index of less than 3.3. Due to the ongoing usage of the Operating Theatre Precinct, Green Connection Group produced a detailed project plan to ensure that all aspects of delivery were considered, resulting in the project being completed within five minutes of the specified finishing time.
